ToggleMy Roots in Iran
I’m Saeede Mirshekar, born in 1984 in Bojnourd—a northern Iranian city deeply rooted in Persian tradition. From a young age, I was surrounded by the rich beauty of Iranian art, especially the intricate language of Persian carpets. These forms weren't just decorative—they told stories, held memories, and taught me that visual expression can carry spiritual and emotional meaning.
Living in Paris today, I bring those roots into everything I create. My art is not just influenced by my background—it’s powered by it.

My Painting Philosophy
Painting gave me something no other medium could: freedom. While my training in carpet design was foundational, it was through painting that I found my personal voice.
My primary focus is floral still life. Flowers—especially in vases—symbolize for me the quiet tension between presence and impermanence. I try to freeze fragile moments and hold onto them through brushstroke, light, and texture. My goal isn’t perfection—it’s honesty. Every petal and shadow carries something deeper.

Living Between Cultures
East meets West on every canvas
I don’t want my paintings to just look beautiful—I want them to feel alive. When someone tells me my work gives them peace or sparks a memory, that’s when I know it’s doing its job.
